The right light on exhibition stands
Tina, from your point of view, what mistakes should you definitely avoid when lighting an exhibition stand?
You should avoid not thinking intensively about the right lighting for your brand presence. Light plays a very important role in people's lives. An exhibition stand is no exception. Homogeneous illumination of the stand, I would call it a slurry of light, should be avoided.
So what should you definitely pay attention to when lighting an exhibition stand?
An exhibition stand is the three-dimensional appearance of a brand. The lighting should support the different areas of the stand and create different lighting moods. This creates a special atmosphere, supports zoning and improves people's well-being while standing. In principle, cold and blue light should be avoided, or should only be directed very specifically at special exhibits.
You spoke to the people on the stand, i.e. the employees. What needs to be considered with regard to employees?
Shadowing on the exhibition stand should not be prevented, but should be supported. People define their place through their shadow and feel comfortable, which in turn contributes to a good atmosphere at the stand and thus to the success of the brand image.
Cold and blue light makes people look sick and sallow. Although it increases concentration in the short term, it prevents the individual's natural and important energy fluctuations, so that employees could feel overwhelmed and drained after just the first day of the trade fair.
It is important that a company's brand is not only represented by the products, but also by the employees in particular. When planning lighting, you should therefore carefully consider how to properly focus on the products and, on the other hand, create an atmosphere in which employees can optimally exploit their potential.
